About Us - History

Faith Baptist Church got its start in 1961. Under the leadership of Pastor David Auckland, thirty-five people gathered for the first public meeting. This meeting took place in the old Sellersville Fire Hall. In August of 1961, 21 charter members formed Faith Baptist Church of Sellersville.

Dedication for the first building was held in September 1963. From the start, the Lord blessed the work and the congregation grew. Today, over 500 people gather for services on Sunday morning. New buildings, land and staff were added to accommodate the growth.

In 1973 Faith Christian Academy was started. Today, Noah's Ark Daycare and Faith Christian Academy minister to over 300 young people from infancy through 12th grade.

In 1989 Pastor Paul Auckland became the Senior Pastor. Following in the footsteps of his father, Pastor Paul continues the passion for the expository preaching of the word of God.
