MInistries
Adult MInistry
Learning God’s Word, applying His Word to everyday situations that arise, and making God the center of our attention are the areas that the adult ministry applies its focus. Discussion, prayer needs, and fellowship among other adults are always important subjects.
The Adult Ministry consists of seven areas:
1. Care Ministries - an active behind to scenes part of our ministry. Care ministries exists to oversee the physical care of the church family. These groups all have specific needs that we are attempting to address and plan how we can best help. Currently we have already begun speical projects at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. We also have a plan to see that all Shut-ins are visited on a regular basis. We are continuing to look for ways to expand this ministry. As new volunteers and people show interest and commitment, we will continue to see these groups impacted for God's glory.
We have targeted five different groups that we focus on:
a. Widows & Widowers
b. Single Parents
c. Special Needs Families
d. Shut-ins
e. Regular attendees or members of the church who are not connected with an ABF
2. Discipleship Ministries
3. Men's Ministries
4. Women's Ministries
5. Church Wide Activities
6. Adult Bible Fellowships
7. Equipping University

Evangelism Ministry
Mission: To Fulfill our Command to Evangelize
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Vision: A Church Evangelizing the Community
We envision FAITH to be a church where individual believers and families are sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the thousands of unsaved people in our community. It would be a church where people are so enthusiastic about the growth and changes God is producing in their own lives and families that they are excited to share the good news with neighbors, co-workers, friends and family. It is the dream of people being salt and light in the world in such a way that their testimony is so dynamic that their faith is contagious and caught because of their example. It is the dream of a church that prepares people so they can share the gospel with confidence trusting God to use them as a witness and testimony for Christ. It will be a church that recognizes God intended some to plant, others to water, and God to give the increase.

Worship Ministry
Core Value 1 - Biblical Truth Communicated in a Christ-like Transformational Manor
The Bible is God’s absolute truth. A life is transformed by the Holy Spirit through the truth of God’s Word. Jesus Christ is the model for communicating truth.
Therefore we value the communication of truth in a creative manner that provides the hearer with a clear understanding.
(Rom. 10:17; Heb. 4:12; I Tim. 3:16)
Related to Worship
At FAITH we believe that worship is the heart of the Church. We further believe that music is one of the many elements of worship. Since music is a tool of communication, it must be used in harmony with God’s Word.
A s an act of worship our music should give the right opinion of God. All our worship is to be done with a keen awareness that God is the spectator and recipient and we are the givers and participants. The glory and supremacy of God is the ultimate goal. (I Cor. 10:31).
Therefore, we believe the following about music as a part of worship:
- The message of our music must be Biblically correct. Since music is a vehicle of communication in which we ‘teach and admonish one another’ we must be certain that the message is an accurate and precise representation of the Bible, (II Tim. 3:15-17).
- Music should be presented in a Christ-like transformational manner. Truth transforms! (John 8:32) Our presentation of truth should always be in a manner that would best reflect the character of God. Those ministering musically must reflect a life that is being transformed by truth, as well as challenge others to Christ-likeness by the truth presented in the message of the song, (Isa. 55:11).
- The message should be clear and understandable to the hearer, (I Cor 14:8-11). The wording should be such that the message is understood and the music must convey that message, resulting in the edification of God’s people. Therefore, we believe that we must have a blend of the old and the new (Ps. 96:1, 149:1, Rev. 5:9), so that each generation hears God’s truth in an understandable way. We also believe that the scriptures teach that there should be a variety of music, (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16).
- The music should produce the appropriate response in the hearer. If the response is sinful than the message or music is wrong, or the hearer has rejected the truth (Exo. 32, Dan. 3). Music is not amoral. Whenever people (moral agents) use something it becomes moral or immoral, depending upon how it is used, (Rom. 14:14-18).
- The music should reflect outwardly the inward reality of a life that is in tune with God, (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16).
The worship of God in music must be judged and evaluated by the Word of God and not the preferences of individuals, (Lu. 6:37, Ro. 2:1-2). If the scripture condemns than we must condemn, if the scriptures are silent, than we must be silent.
Core Value 2 - Exalting the Supremacy of God in All things
Worship is the ultimate goal of the church. It is giving God priority in every area of life. The life of a believer is to be God-centered.
Therefore we value the exaltation of God in our lives individually and corporately. It is not about us it is about God.
(Rom. 12:1; I Cor. 10:31)
Related to Worship
At FAITH we believe the Supremacy of God is the ultimate purpose of our existence as a Church. God’s glory must be our highest passion and motivation as a Body of Believers, (Col. 1:18; I Cor. 10:31). We further believe that Jesus Christ is to have the preeminence in all things, which includes the activity of the Church (Col. 1:18).
Therefore, our worship and all it incorporates should be God-centered, meaning God is the object and aim of what the Bible defines as worship. In other words, what we do must ultimately be for God’s glory and honor.
We therefore embrace the following truths about our worship as a Church and all that is involved in such worship.
1. Worship must be God-centered in the CONTENT:
We believe that what we do as a part of worship is as important as how we go about doing it. The motivation and the activity of worship are both vital in the process. It is possible that we do the wrong things with the right motivation or even the right things with the wrong motivation, and both of these would be unacceptable acts of worship, (Genesis 4:4-5). Our concern is that the content of our worship would be the right things done in the right way with the right motivation.
Therefore at FAITH, we have chosen to embrace “the Regulative Principle of worship.” This historic principle in essence says, ‘true worship is only that which is commanded by God in the Bible.’ Thus we seek in our public worship to do those things which are set forth in scripture. The content of our worship is not determined by people but God. Further the style of our worship must not be designed to attract unbelievers, or even entertain believers, but must be determined by what would best glorify and honor God, and that which would edify Believers.
2. Worship must be God-centered in our PARTICIPATION:
We have defined personal worship:
“All that I am responding in submission and praise to the Supremacy of God”
Corporate worship is:
“All that the Church is responding in submission and praise to the Supremacy of God.”
Thus, worship is activity Believers do both individually and corporately. It is not passive rather activity that demands all our energies and entails all aspects of our being; intellect, emotions, and will.
We further believe worship to be the main activity and heart of the Church. All the parts of worship, whether prayer, praise, proclamation of the Word, administration of the Ordinances, giving, etc have equal value in relation to each other. No one act of worship is of greater importance than another but should be practiced in harmony with each other as part of Believers worship.
Therefore, we believe that a Believers PARTICIPATION in worship is essential to the individual and the Church. Worship should not be a ‘spectator’ activity, but should involve all of God’s people in active participation.
Since worship entails all that we are it demands all of our energy to truly engage in worship. It also must engage all aspects of our being including our intellect, emotions and will. These three aspects of human personality must be involved in worship and must be in balance in expression. Worship without the intellectual is empty, without the emotion is cold, and without the will is vanity. Our worship should express a love for the God that comes from a heart committed to obeying Him. An example is a cheerful giver, (II Cor. 9:7)
At FAITH we will seek to stress God-centeredness in all of our worship. We will strive to place an emphasis upon participation in worship. We will encourage one another to expend all energy in worship so that God is glorified by our sacrifices made. We will seek to express all aspects of our being in a proper fashion.
3. Worship must be God-centered in our RESPONSE:
We believe worship should produce the right response in our own lives and the lives of others. Whenever an individual engages in worshipping God it has a manifold impact. There is an effect upon the individual, as well as other Believers and also those in the world who witness our worship. No one lives without affecting others by our activity, especially when we worship God. We further believe that God honors the individual and the Church that is passionate about worshipping God. We believe God will use our lives when fully dedicated to Him to impact the lives of others, whether Believers or unbelievers.
Therefore we believe the following about worship:
- Corporate worship should cause others to glorify God, not gratify self.
- Corporate worship should produce a physical response that honors God in its expression, not draws attention to self.
- Corporate worship should produce an emotional response that is in harmony with the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ not the love of the flesh.
- Corporate worship should produce an intellectual response that leads one to think upon things that are pure, not impure.
We will strive at FAITH to worship in such a manner that people are not impressed by our activity but are made aware of the Supremacy of God. It is our desire that our worship will lead others to join us in loving God supremely and living life in a God-centered manner.
Core Value 3 - Spirit-controlled living Manifesting the Fruit of The Holy Spirit in Our Lives
We believe that the life of a Christian controlled by the Holy Spirit is the life that loves and obeys God.
Therefore we value the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer knowing that such an individual will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh but manifest the fruit of the Spirit relationally.
[Galatians 5:16-26]
Related to Worship
At FAITH we believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is essential to the life of the Church. Worship is a primary expression of the Spirit-controlled believer and music is an act of worship. Only a Believer, controlled by the Holy Spirit, can offer praise in a manner that exalts the supremacy of God. Without the Holy Spirit worship is meaningless activity. However, when the Holy Spirit indwells and controls the life of the Believer, that individual can express, in worship, the reality of a dynamic relationship that exists between God and the individual.
Thus, as a Church seeking to worship God and exalt His supremacy, we recognize the necessity of the Holy Spirit in our worship.
The Holy Spirit will give Power to Worship
(John 14: 16-17, 14:26; 16:7-13)
We believe the Holy Spirit works in conjunction with the written Word of God and not independent of it. The ministry of the Holy Spirit, in relation to God’s people, is to direct us in regard to God’s truth, which is recorded in the Bible. Not only does the Holy Spirit direct us in truth but also scripture teaches us that He brings to mind the truth, so that we know how He expects us to live and worship. Worship does not prepare our hearts for truth; truth prepares our hearts for worship. Singing does not prepare our hearts to receive truth; truth prepares our hearts for singing.
Thus, the Spirit will bless worship that exalts the truth of the Word of God. The significance of worship is to be found in the exaltation of the truth about God. All worship must have its foundation in the Word of God, and must reflect a commitment to that truth and must manifest a love for God and the truth about Him. Worship that lacks any of these elements fails in its purpose! However, when all of these elements come together in the expression of worship, it is dynamic. If these elements are evident when the Church gathers for worship, it will be one of the most powerful experiences a believer will have this side of heaven.
Therefore, at FAITH, we will strive to exalt the supremacy of God in worship through the proclamation of His truth and trust the Holy Spirit to keep us in harmony with that truth and bless our worship.
The Holy Spirit will Give Meaning to Worship
(John 15:26-27, 16:13-14, Colossians 1:18)
T he Bible clearly and specifically states that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is the exaltation of Jesus Christ. The focal point of scripture is Christ! The Apostle Paul succinctly stated that ‘Christ was to have the preeminence in all things.’
W e believe then that worship should exalt our Lord Jesus Christ. We further believe we are totally dependent upon the ministry of the Holy Spirit because worship is not mere human activity. The Holy Spirit must empower worship and then the result will be the preeminence of Jesus Christ.
Any objective in worship other than the celebration of Christ and His redemptive work in our lives is to miss the purpose of worship. Too often we come to worship to find personal fulfillment or self-gratification. We will find both fulfillment and gratification in worship, but that is not why we worship. We worship because Jesus Christ is worthy of worship and only through the ministry of the Holy Spirit can true worship take place.
Therefore, at FAITH, we worship in faith believing that the Holy Spirit will use us to exalt Jesus Christ and thus give meaning to our worship.
The Holy Spirit will give life to our worship
(Ephesians 5:15-21, Colossians 3:16, Romans 8:2-10)
It is often said that worship is ‘dead’ and it is often true. It is sometimes thought that ‘style’ gives life to music. From a biblical perspective it is not style (whatever that may or may not be) that gives life to worship, it is the presence of the Holy Spirit. No one can worship God who does not have the Holy Spirit indwelling him or her by means of salvation. No believer can offer the praise due the Lord unless he/she is ‘filled’ or controlled by the Holy Spirit. Worship is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s presence and control in our lives. II Corinthians 3:6 emphatically states that it is the Spirit that gives life. Therefore, according to Ephesians 5:18-21, music (a form of worship) is the outward manifestation of the fullness of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
T hus, we see worship as an outward expression of an inward reality of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. If the outward expression of worship lacks life than there is an inward cause. It is imperative that our lives are in tune with God inwardly, so that the outward expressions of worship are alive through the Holy Spirit.
Therefore at FAITH we desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that our worship will have life.
The Holy Spirit will Give Fruit to Worship
(Matthew 7:16-20, Galatians 5:16-26)
The Bible has a great deal to say about ‘outcomes.’ Eternity is one example of an outcome. Another is ‘fruit.’ The New Testament has a great deal to say about fruit and it is using the concept in relation to outcomes. Jesus said, ‘by their fruits you shall know them.’ Everything in life has an outcome, every choice, thought and action. We are instructed to measure things by the fruit or the results that actions produce.
One of the significant aspects of the Holy Spirit’s ministry is the fruit that He produces in the life of the believer who ‘walks with the Holy Spirit.’ It is vital that the Holy Spirit directs our worship so that the outcome is pleasing to God. If we ‘walk in the Spirit’ we will not fulfill the cravings of the flesh. Rather, the outcome will be the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ which is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We must measure the outcome of our worship so that we can see the evidence of the ministry of the Holy Spirit by the fruit that is produced by our activity. If the right fruit is not evident then the activity needs to be evaluated and changed.
Therefore at FAITH we will strive to measure our worship by the fruit that is manifest by our activity. We will seek to ‘walk in the Spirit’ so that we will not fulfill the ‘lusts of the flesh.’ It is our desire that the Holy Spirit will produce right relationships, characterized by His fruit, as a result of proper worship.
